Recently, Texas-based Luminant announced that EPA’s Cross-State Air Pollution Rule would result in the idling of at least two of the company’s coal-fired generation units and cause the layoff of 500 workers.

“We’ve heard time and time again from the Administration and from the EPA that regulations are going to create jobs,” said Brown in the interview. “We’re seeing exactly the opposite in Texas where we’re not only idling generation capacity, but we’re also seeing 500 families who are going to lose their jobs.”
