Energy Fairness, formerly known as The Partnership for Affordable Clean Energy (PACE), a not-for-profit organization that advocates for sensible energy policy, has named energy veteran Paul Griffin as the group’s new Executive Director.
Griffin assumed leadership of the organization on December 1st.
Griffin, who has nearly two decades of experience in government relations and advocacy, previously served as Senior Legislative Assistant to U.S. Rep. Greg Walden, where he helped staff the U.S. House Natural Resources Committee and the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee, negotiating significant legislation in the areas of conservation and energy. Griffin later worked as a lead lobbyist for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (DC) and as Senior Government Relations Advisor for Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association in Colorado.
“It is with great excitement that we announce Paul Griffin to lead our efforts to promote responsible energy policy and advocate for energy customers,” says PACE Board Chairman Cline Jones. “Paul’s deep experience and expertise will only add to our mission of helping establish energy policy that safeguards America’s future.”
“Paul is a seasoned consumer energy advocate and was a trusted aide during his five year tenure in my office. The organization will truly benefit from his almost 20 years of experience fighting for the ratepayer at the congressional, association and utility levels.” Said Chairman of the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee, Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR).
